It's a basketball doubleheader on SoCalCollegeSports as Cerritos College travels to Long Beach City.

In game one, it's a battle of top ten powers in the south as the #3 Lady Vikings take on the #10 Lady Falcons. The Vikings meanwhile have been rolling along throughout the season, posting a 20-4 record to date and seem primed for a deep postseason run.

Game 2 will feature two teams battling for playoff positioning in the south. The Cerritos men are also currently ranked #10 in the south and come in with a three game winning streak. The Vikings come in sporting a four game winning streak of their own and are currently tied for the #15 ranking in the south.

SCFA Football Week 2: El Camino at Ventura College 9/12/15 6pm

It's a battle of 1-0 teams in week 2 of SCFA football, as the El Camino Warriors travel to Ventura this Saturday. El Camino hung on for a 31-23 win vs Pasadena City College in week one. Week two shapes up to be a much taller task for the visiting Warriors.

In their first home opener since 2012, Ventura College throttled SCFA #3 ranked Fullerton, forcing 5 turnovers en route to a 31-0 win. While the defense and special teams shined in week one's shutout for the Pirates, it was somewhat of a coming out party for freshman QB Brandon Jones as he threw for 195 yards and two scores. Jones eluded would be tacklers throughout the game and consistently kept plays alive with his mobility and quickness. He also led the Pirates in rushing on the night with 38 yards.

Join Mike Zepeda and Jeff Stoyanoff as they have the call from Ventura, CA this Saturday night at 6pm on SoCalCollegeSports.
